Geodnet
GEODNET is a decentralized global network of GNSS (GPS) base stations that provide high-precision real-time location data. It’s designed to power applications like:
- Autonomous vehicles
- Drones
- Precision agriculture
- Surveying
- Augmented reality
- Robotics and more
Instead of relying on centralized correction data services, GEODNET uses a blockchain-powered model to incentivize individuals to install GNSS receivers that improve global positioning accuracy.
How it works
- Install a Station Users deploy a certified GNSS base station (usually multi-band, RTK-capable) at a fixed, well-positioned location.
- Contribute Real-Time GNSS Data The station sends high-quality satellite correction data (RTCM) to the GEODNET network 24/7.
- Earn GEOD Tokens Users are rewarded with $GEOD tokens based on
- Station uptimeLocation qualityNumber of satellite signals captured
- Geographic demand (SuperHex zones boost rewards)
In short:
GEODNET’s mission is to build the world’s most dense, accurate, and decentralized location infrastructure. It aims to: GEODNET lets you earn crypto ($GEOD) by running a GNSS base station that improves global location accuracy. It’s the blockchain version of a real-time GPS correction network, with real-world utility across many industries.
Tokenomics:
Token: $GEOD (10 Billion Total Supply)
- 35% – Mining rewards (for base station operators)
- 25% – Team (with vesting)
- 25% – Investors
- 10% – Ecosystem growth (partnerships, devs, grants)
- 3% – Vendors & marketing
- 2% – Public token sale
Mining & Rewards
- Rewards per station: Start at ~2 GEOD/hour (triple-band), halving yearly
- Adjusted by “SuperHex” multiplier:
- Based on location, signal quality, satellite coverage
- Multiplier can reach up to 14× for high-value locations
- Station uptime & data quality directly impact rewards Token Utility & Deflation
- 80% of GEODNET revenue is used for buy-back & burn – reducing circulating supply
- Use cases:
- Pay for RTK services (real-time correction data)
- Governance (future DAO plans)
- Future staking options being considered
